Office 2010 Service Pack 1 Available For Download

Microsoft has today released the first Service Pack for their Office 2010 product suite. As with all service packs released by the company, this one also bundles all public updates that have been already released to users so far with some new and unreleased ones.

Office 2010 SP1 includes some improvements too. These include the ‘Open from web’ option in OneNote, which enables you to open notebooks from Windows Live SkyDrive, newly added Office 365 support in Outlook, a new enhancement to Access that integrates community content in the Application Parts gallery, and so on.
In addition to fixes and enhancements, Office 2010 also brings in some improvements in stability, performance, and security. Office 2010 SP 1 comes exactly a year after the release of the productivity suite.
You can get Office 2010 SP1 on your PC either via Windows Update or by manually downloading and installing the service pack yourself.
In case you have turned off Automatic Updates in Windows, then you may want to select and install the updates from the ‘Windows Update’ dialog of Control Panel.

Ubuntu 11.04 Released !

For those of you watching Ubuntu's website recently, you may have noticed a new version of the popular and easy to use variant of Linux has been surfaced - Natty Narwal. It can be downloaded from the previously linked site free of charge. Among the various new features, the Unity interface is set as the default UI, and includes the launcher (an OS X like dock), the dash (a popup menu with user defined shortcuts), and workspaces (a virtual desktop manager). According to the Ubuntu website, the OS can boot in as little as 7 seconds (following POST).
